Hello and welcome to my website!My name is Evan and I am a musician, producer, writer, singer, actor, gamer, streamer and nerd who loves learning and making friends!I was born in Sacramento, California and grew up as a pastor's kid with 3 other siblings. We moved more times than I could count until I graduated from high school and went to college at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.I recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts specializing in Music and am excited for what is in store for the future!You can find links to my music, livestream, discord, social media and other ways to connect here on this website. Lemons
On February 1st I released my debut album "Lemons," which is a deeper look into my life and my experiences growing up as a pastor's kid. The album dives into the hidden process of people becoming "desensitized" to sin and personal issues that will prove to be harmful to them later on in life, while figuring out how to process these negative experiences into something positive. Having a heavy emphasis on hip-hop with a few curveballs like electro-swing and lo-fi chillhop, this album is the starting block for what will become the sound of "Evan the Astrokid."
The Legend of the Rosemary King
The second release "The Legend of the Rosemary King" is a collection of instrumental tracks that take you on a journey through the life of The Rosemary King, an individual that stole my heart and showed me what it meant to live life to the fullest. This album was made to show the listener that even the darkest moments should be appreciated, because every step of the journey is what makes life truly beautiful. With every song being lo-fi chillhop and mixing different styles of music to accompany, this album continues to solidify the tone quality and essence of the music I create.
Jesus is my Favorite Color
My third studio release titled "Jesus is my Favorite Color" is a personal walk through the Fruits of the Spirit, and more specifically what they mean to me and how I have learned to understand them. It's a heart driven project that focuses on the journey of life and how it's important to appreciate the means to the end, and not just the destination itself. Incorporating new genres of music like Deep House, Cyberpunk and Alternative Trap, this album helps to bring a new perspective to what it means to create music that is an extension of who I am.
